Android 4.4 KitKat is on 24.5% of Android Devices
The Android 4.4 KitKat finally start appearing in Android world as a powerful mobile OS. The KitKat version of Google's popular OS get to the most of Android devices after some months of the official release of the last version, known as "Android L".
According to the last reports and statistics the Android KitKat is now installed on 24.5% of android devices which is the 2nd most installed version after Android Jelly Bean which is installed on 25.1% of devices.
But we can expect that the 4.4 version will be in the 1st place after some months or when the Android L become available on more devices.
These numbers are shared by the Google Team after focusing on devices that connect to the Google Play in a period of 7 days.
The problem with Google is that they don't release the OS for all devices, so the result is new smartphones released but the Android L is not available for it, in this case they're obliged to run an old version of Android.
While when a new IOS is released it's available on all iPhones, iPads and iPods at once. So this is a negative point on Google.
What do you think about these numbers? leave a comment below with the version of Android you're using on your smartphone.
