Review: The New Samsung Galaxy Gear is here
Samsung has officially unveiled today within the IFA 2013 exhibition on its new smart watch "Galaxy Gear".
The new smartwatch operating system is: android 4.3
The display has a 1.63-inch screen size and the type is: "Super Amoled" with a resolution 320x320 pixels, and this give the screen a density of 277 pixels per inch.
Samsung gear has 2 megapixel camera integrated into the frame, the watch also can take 720p videos.
Samsung galaxy Gear work on a processor with a frequency of 800Mhz and contain 4 Gb internal storage space, 512 of Ram and a battery with a capacity of 314 mA which is enough for working during 25 consecutive hours.
the watch supports Bluetooth 4.0 which you can use it to connect to smartphones. And contain two microphones and amplifier.
From other side, the smart watch has a large selection of its own applications, and by samsung- the watch will get applications from more than 70 Companies after the official release, the applications will come in different catagories such as "Evernotes, photos sharing and sport applications" and thise are some applications that will be available on Samsung Gear: Evernote, Path and Runkeeper MyFitnessPal and TripIt, Line, eBay... .
Samsung said that the smartwatch will be compatible with "Galaxy Note 3" and "Galaxy Note 10.1" 2014, while the other devices like "Galaxy S4" and "S3" and "Note II" will be supported after the update to Android 4.3. Samsung did not explain if the watch will support the other android devices.
Price: By the last reports the gear price is 299$ after shipping, personally i think that 299$ can be expensive for a watch but it can be good for who want to try a new experience especially that Samsung gear is the first smartwatch from Samsung.
